Chondrites are a type of stony meteorite making up about 86% of all meteorites found on Earth. They are primitive, unmelted rocks that formed approximately 4.56 billion years ago, making them the oldest known materials in the Solar System.
This particular meteorite was purchased years ago at a gem and rock show out west from an older man that was from Morocco who said it was found locally to him. I cannot guarantee this however as I purchased from a lady who told me this story.
Meteorite is approximately 6” x 5” x 4 1/4” and weighs 5.82 pounds
