2 different filament sizes are available in these Superconductor rounds comprised of Niobium and Copper. These rounds are 3/8” thick so they can be used as is or ripped to create thinner, bookmatched slices for bolsters, jewelry, or whatever else you can think of.
This material looks much better when etched to create some depth and contrast in the materials. These rounds come polished.
Niobium is incorporated into copper for superconductors primarily through mechanical, high-pressure, and heat-assisted methods that create a metallurgical bond, ensuring the niobium filaments are encapsulated within the copper matrix.
